Tony Blair's long goodbye has done this country a lot of damage
I felt sick watching the cheer leaders for Blair in the Trimdon Labour Club as they sang and clapped along to the tune of Things Can Only Get Better.
I won't be sad to see the back of our PM and I won't miss him because when Gordon Brown takes over "things will not get any better".
Without a shadow of doubt Iraq is Blair's legacy...it overshadows everything else.
I remember the elation I felt on May 2nd, 1997, with the days of the Conservatives over and a promise of something new.
I am amazed that Tony Blair is still in Downing Street and will leave of his own accord to live in comfortable retirement.
