hi fitzy
it was a pleasure meeting you in cottingham at the haltemprice by-election.
we should have a voice in every town/city to fight the supermarkets monoploys in our towns.

free parking policy is a start....there a lot of market traders in the uk
and were fed up with being pushed around. we are the heart of the community .in cottingham we are a market village in the market square the market is a place to meet and Socialize

we are not a asda village in a asda square shopping like robots.for anyone who has been to cottingham would know
it would be a crime to lose places like cottingham to the big supermarkets

cottingham market is with you fitzy in your fight.!

Your right about ST Edmunds Former Hospital Site and come this Thrusday 21/2/08, the guildhall Northampton will be holding the pubilc meeting , mainly a PR eve for the Site owners Rochmils LTD.

The petition will be handed in with a call for 24 Hours Security , day and night, to help protect homes and the local area. Safety measures for those that live by and around the site, is still not being address. Since 2003 and 2004 when Portland Place Action group first petition the WNDC and NBC and site owners. It is very concerning nothing has changed. Now 19/2/08, how much longer will this lack of safety and lack of action, to local residents concerns be acted on.
One will soon find out if anything will change come this thurdsday and real justice uk will carrying on with getting our voices heard, till something is done.
As one that looks out every day/ night of the whole area of land, behind ones home. The quality of ones life is being effected, so a point, of living , like one is behind a bomb site.

    Fitz,
I agree with you about the shape of the market square and the fact it cost a lot of money to get to this stage [i.e consultants etc] Maybe now it the time to look at other designs like the one's that I presented to the last "Council" [for free] at least it was square with a square centre open space [Civic area ] which was more in keeping with the Market square it's self and creating a focal point in the centre.
Keep up the good work.
Regards ,
Colin
